FUNDING OPPORTUNITY!! SMALL-MEDIUM BUSINESSES IN LIVERPOOL
6 MONTH WAGE FUNDING FOR NEW TRAINEE EMPLOYEES VIA THE ILM FUNDING GRANT. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR FURTHER INFO.
I’m getting in touch to make you aware of a funding opportunity available to Liverpool based business for Liverpool residents. Essentially we have received funding via the European Social Fund with the aim of supporting Liverpool Residents aged 16-29 who are not currently in employment, training or education into work. The funding will fund a full time workers salary at minimum wage for 6 months. Please see below if you would like to know more (or feel free to give Becky a call Tel 0151 233 4699/4038)
Liverpool council has received funding (via the European Social Fund) to support Liverpool residents into work. The money is aimed at 16-29 year olds who are not in education training or employment and is focused on small – medium employers (with below 250 employees) and charities.
The term ‘Intermediate Labour Market’ basically means a stepping stone into employment. The roles should be seen as junior type positions for the 6 month period. With this in mind there is an expectation that the employer acknowledges that the individual may have no prior work experience or may have some barriers to employment. There is no reason why the position cannot turn into a more senior/challenging position in time. Essentially the funding allows the employer an opportunity to expand their business whilst offering a local resident a chance to join a business and enter/return to employment.
